I hesitated before buying too, because it is a serious investment. The module needs to be configured and the pads calibrated, and there are plenty of settings to explore. Once everything was dialled in, playing became a real pleasure. When I later sat down at my old Alesis Mesh Kit to demonstrate it to a buyer, it suddenly felt like a beginner kit. Thanks to its full-size layout, the Black Hawk feels far more convincing, even compared with the Crimson I tried in a shop.

An excellent kit, worth every penny. The build quality is first-rate, and the drums and hardware compare very well with Roland hybrid kits. The module is excellent and the sounds are superb.

After a few days with the kit, I can share my first impressions. It arrived well protected, and the frame, cymbals and pads are all very well made. One person can assemble it without difficulty, and once built the rack is stable and secure. At this price, the module is a remarkably capable piece of equipment, with extensive editing options, several reverbs and a compressor. The three-zone ride with an active bell works very well, and its 14-inch size makes playing more comfortable and looks much better than the smaller cymbals offered by many competitors. The mesh pads are quiet, responsive and track every hit reliably. The mesh kick pad keeps the entire kit impressively quiet and works flawlessly. Overall, this is an excellent kit that I am happy to recommend. I only wish the module had Bluetooth. Thank you as well for answering all my questions about the kit.

I highly recommend BLACK HAWK DRUMS. Buying a hybrid drum kit was one of the best decisions I could have made. I live in an apartment, and being able to practise on such a quiet instrument is invaluable. The kit is quiet enough not to disturb the other people at home, while the creative possibilities of a hybrid setup are hard to overstate. I bought the kit using PayU instalments without leaving home. The seller was honest, knowledgeable and very helpful.

The kit is fantastic and offers so many possibilities that I am still discovering new ones. It is beautifully made, with great attention to every detail, and quiet enough to practise at home without disturbing anyone else. Playing it is pure pleasure. I have owned several electronic kits, but I was always looking for something that felt like an acoustic set. This one delivers: it responds naturally to playing dynamics, the snare rim sounds excellent, and the three-zone ride is outstanding. The module offers so many options that, despite using the kit every day, I still have not explored every function. I highly recommend it to demanding players.
